  2. What is going on?
As Syrian civil war continues, there are 18,000 people trapped in a suburb of Damascus (Al Yarmouk), who are living without clean water (sources that are left are highly contaminated), only an hour of electricity per day and one doctor left in the whole town. The UN referred to the conditions inside Al Yarmouk as "beyond I humane."

    What is the money buying?
The money is used to make baskets with one month's supply of diapers, canned goods, water, powder milk and formula for families of 6 members or more.

How can I make sure it will reach the families considering the hostile conditions of the country?
Our registered partner NGO (non governmental organization) has used a source inside Damascus to deliver humanitarian aid several times in the past. In every instance, the families that were targeted to receive the aid, were contacted and they all verified they received the goods promptly after they were sent. The same process will be used here.

Where will the goods be purchased and how will they be delivered?
The goods will be purchased inside Damascus because the cost is much lower. Our contacts will then make baskets and deliver them one at a time to already identified families. This will minimize suspicion and eliminate potential confiscation risk.
What percentage of my aid will go directly to the purchase of the goods?
Be hundred percent of your gift will be applied to the purchase of the goods.

    Is my contribution tax deductible?
The Red Umbrella is a registered 501c3 organization under U.S. Law and all donations are 100% tax deductible according to U.S. tax laws. EIN 27-2763249.
