I was working in Wadi Rum, one of the most beautiful locations on the planet Earth, and ended up speaking to many people, including a few who participated as extras in the film "Lawrence of Arabia." We drove in one early afternoon from the desert after location scouting and the crew was invited to a Bedouin wedding. Here's a real quick minute ~ I love the humor of the Bedouins!
As part of my work as a creative director for the United Nations, I organized various trips to the field to expand the word of mouth marketing component of the campaign. One such example was visiting Danaa in Southern Jordan and meeting with people who may never of heard of the internet. Once explained, many times these people understand the deeper ramifications perhaps better than I, right? Here is a Bedouin family (notice the typical female face tattoos) where I asked the female head of household to say a short sentence with the word internet in it. Here's the result...right after a 30 second time lapse of the shadows bouncing off the face of Petra.
