1. If you love visual comedy, you gotta love Edgar Wright, one of the few filmmakers who is consistently finding humor through framing, camera movement, editing, goofy sound effects and music. This is an analysis and appreciation of one of our finest comedic voices.

  3. Animation/Effects Producer (AEP)

    Animation/Effects Producer (AEP)
AEP students manage the production-related aspects of animation and effects projects. Hands-on training is at the core of AEP education, i.e. learning by doing - learning by working on projects. This is why the AEP curriculum is closely linked to other specializations. Selected classes on budgeting, scheduling, project management as well as problem-oriented, joined-up thinking complement the course. Animation/Effects Producers are part of a core team that further consists of a Concept Artist, an Animation/Effects Director and a Technical Director - every project at the Institute of Animation is realized by a core team.

The specialization Animation/Effects Producing (AEP) addresses lateral entry students into the 3rd year of the subject area Animation that have either already gained professional experience as producers in the field of animated media or own a respective college degree. AEP students are able to supervise and manage animation and effects projects as part of a team. This specialization is also open to applications from Production students at the Filmakademie that would like to specialize in Animation/Effects Producing after having completed their basic studies.
    Apply now for Animation/Effects Producing!

  4. In the vastness of space, there’s a a small speck of rock inhabited by the most peculiar lifeforms: Dark little "Globosomes" that start to replicate fast and begin to show signs of intelligence. The film tells the story of the rise and fall of these little creatures.

This film is inspired by the special times we’re living in on our own planet. We're ourselves at the crossroads: Rise to our true calling and explore the universe or perish from the face of a dirty planet.
