Adela Campallo was born in 1977 in the famous Sevillan quarter Cerro del Aguila, into a family with an extensive flamenco tradition. She soon became part of an ensemble founded by her parents, “La Familla Campallo” and made her debut at an age of 9 years. Meanwhile she also was instructed by maestros such as Jose Galvan and Manolo Marin. In 2002, she grasped the chance to prove her talent when she made it through to the finale of the young artists’ competition at the Sevillan Biënnale. During that same period, she acted as the solo dancer in the 'Antonio Canales’ dance formation. In 2004 the “Campalleria” show hit the stages. In this show, she shared the lead role with her brother Rafael Campallo. This production also performed in Japan and at the Festival of Jerez in 2003. Shortly afterwards, Adela performed solo. A performance at the Teatro Central of her home town transferred her into an absolute public favourite leading into many positive press reviews. Adela Campallo was also part of Javier Latorre’s company when they performed “Rinconete y Cortadillo” in all major theatres of Spain. Afterwards, she collaborated with Farruquito in “Alma Vieja” and with Andres Marin in “Mas Alla del Tiempo”. In 2005 she was selected to perform the closing flamenco dance at the “VII Muestra Andaluza de Baile Flamenco” in a sublime setting of the Corral del Carbon in Granada. Adela Campallo, a highly renowned dancing teacher, has given numerous workshops and classes all over the world in her relatively young career. She also showed her extraordinary talent in the didactic DVD collection “Ritmo Flamenco Rhythm”. Early 2006 she performed at the USA Flamenco Festival and at the Festival of Jerez where she participated in the “Gala de Andalucia” show. During that same year, she was honoured with the opening act at the Festival de Cine Iberoamericano in Bogota, Columbia. At the festival of classical theatre in Mérida, she danced in “Sangre de Edipo” together with Antonio Canales and Lola Greco. One of the highlights of flamenco art in 2007 was her performance at the Teatro Central in Sevilla, once more alongside Antonio Canales. Since 2007, she is also the face of the well-known American audiovisual brand BOSE. Only recently she danced the leading role of the Greek tragicomedy MEDEA under the artistic guidance of Pilar Távora. The play was first performed in Greece in July 2007. In February 2009 she performed at the Festival ofJerez with uan Diego and Angel Muñoz, in July she acted as a special guest at the first performance of her brother Rafael Campallo’s show “Puente de Triana”, the last act of the flamenco festival at Mont-de-Marsan in France.

SINOPSIS / SYNOPSIS
Miguel Poveda just turned 40 and has recently celebrated 25 years on the stage. For this occasion, he decided to do something special. He arranged his most ambitious concert so far.
During the months when this event was being planned, we found out who the true Miguel Angel Poveda Leon is. We discovered the man behind the lights, a man very conscious of his private life who opened his home and his heart and shared his family, so that we could get to know where he comes from. This is the story of a Catalonian payo with no flamenco family roots that, even when he had everything against him to become a flamenco artist, he managed to gain a foothold in the industry, due to his hard work and perseverance until he became one of today’s most relevant voices of flamenco music.
We will go through some special events which are nowadays part of Flamenco history, such as the 2010 Seville Flamenco Biennial Festival Opening, the premiere of arteSano at the Royal Theater in Madrid and Chavela Vargas’ last concert. Very remarkable artists have participated in this project with Miguel: Serrat, Mª Dolores Pradera, Rodolfo Mederos, Joan Albert Amargos, Enric Palomar, Chicuelo, Martirio, Carmen Linares, Moraito, Matilde Coral, Luis el Zambo… A life dedicated to music protrayed in this essential documentary film.
