I asked my seven-year-old transgender daughter to tell me the story of her courageous fight to be seen as the girl she always knew she was. I also asked her to offer some advice for other kids like her - and for their parents. This is what she said.

This is the last (of four) animated sequence we've created with Yapiko animation for the french movie « Lou! Journal infime » by Julien Neel. (you can see first sequence here: vimeo.com/113507665 )
The purpose of those sequences scattered throughout the movie is to materialize the inner world of Lou’s mother character. In the novel she’s writing, she tells the adventures of Sidera, her fantasy alter ego.
This sequence is intended to show that after being down for a while, she finally decides to take a life back on track and rise again!
