Brenda Taylor has been a drover at the Fort Worth Herd for 13 years. Her passion and dedication to preserve the history and heritage of her hometown is inspiring. The world's only twice-daily cattle drive, the Fort Worth Herd was created as part of the city's sesquicentennial celebration. Hundreds of people from all over the world gather each day to witness a herd of 15 Texas Longhorns, each steer representing one decade from Fort Worth's colorful past, and a diverse team of drovers clad in authentic 19th century clothing drive the herd down East Exchange Avenue in the historic Stockyards everyday at 11:30AM & 4PM. Yestrday I introduced my baby girl to the joy of flight by taking her for a ride in my friend's RV-8. We flew a two-ship with an RV-6A so I could do some air-to-air photography as well. This is how I feel everytime I fly, I guess it's genetic.
I was recently inspired to produce a “1 Second a Day” video. I looked up several online and thought it would be a fun challenge. Remembering to get the shot and keep it interesting was the hardest part. I also learned a lot about myself... like I spend way too much time in my car. This film starts with Labor Day (Sep 1) and follows through every day of the month including: a trip to Big Bear, the Super Moon, 9/11, a couple of flights, sitting in traffic with my favorite podcasts, sneaking off to the mountains and a business trip to Ft. Worth.
