1. Shatner's out, Picard hasn't been born yet, Odo is still a pile of goo and Janeway? Who's that? J.J. Abrams has taken Star Trek into the realm of James Bond, Doctor Who and Batman, making Kirk, Spock and Bones larger than the actors who play them. Yes, he's re-cast every single role in an attempt to breathe new life into one of the longest running film and tv franchises in history. We've got an exclusive first look at scenes from Star Trek, as well as interviews with J.J, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and the rest of the all-new cast of the original series. Matt's a HUGE trekkie, and Nat not so much, so there will be PLENTY to look forward to in our review next week! ~Matt + Nat

  2. In an age where the Saw and Hostel type horror film has given up on scares in favour of gore, Quarantine delivers some genuine suspense and terror! Motion sickness aside, the point-of-view style in this kind of intimate and visceral setting made for a heart pounding theatrical experience. This was definitely worth the price of admission!

  3. Back in June, Matt was ready to give The Incredible Hulk a pretty mediocre review, but now that the 3-Disc DVD has been released with 45 minutes of deleted scenes, (and Nat has finally seen it!) Matt and Nat agree that this is the ONLY way to see the movie.

In this 3-Disc set, characters are developed, Edward Norton is given a chance to really act, all kinds of emotional beats are picked up and William Hurt is given some real time to shine. We love it!

We like it so much, we want to give away a 3-Disc set to a fellow geek on YourGeekNews.com that leaves the best comment comparing Ang Lee’s 2003 Hulk with Louis Leterrier’s The Incredible Hulk and explaining which one is your favourite!

  4. Casino Royale made more money in US and around the world than any other Bond film, and nearly twice as much internationally than Brosnan’s best. So making a sequel in this new, re-imagined Double-O-verse is a tall order. Add to that the idea that this film picks up 5-minutes after the previous one, and we’ve got a recipe for a Bond film like no other. Having said that, Bond films are all action packed, globetrotting, womanizing, testosterone-riddled rollercoasters, so messing around with a good formula is a dangerous game to play. One that Director Marc Forster and Daniel Craig are set on playing. At least a little bit.

  5. Matt and Nat have minimal qualms with this sequel, and considering the change of ownership for the production companies, we're thankful we got the movie at all!
Guillermo del Toro blows us away, as usual, with his amazing imagination, distinctive creative signature, and all-around bad-ass vibe with HellBoy 2. We didn't have time for a preview, but we jammed some sweet scenes into this review to entice you incase you haven't seen it yet!
