1. SWARM is a passive interactive advertisement meant to grab the attention of the passer-by and subsequently promoting the client(SCAD) utilizing social media. It consists of the SCAD logo formed by a swarm of bees (the school's mascot) which can be disturbed by the users in front of the installation.
Our code tracks multiple users with the kinect and creates dynamic content by integrating a live twitter feed. If anyone tweets about SCAD, the program picks it up from the twitter feed, and displays that tweet on the screen. The user's username becomes a flower that the bees flock to, and the content of the tweet is displayed under the flower.

  4. Influence is an interactive installation that expresses the influence we have on each other and on inanimate objects using particles of light. "Players" who enter the space are tracked by a Kinect sensor and each player is surrounded by a circle of colored light. When players move within a distance of 'influence' particles of light are exchanged between the players. As players move in the space, they accumulate new colored particles from other players that they meet. Players retain the color particles of everyone they have been 'influenced' by even when the other players have left the space. Players can also influence inanimate objects by going close to them. The objects will turn the same color as the player's primary color.

This project was developed in Fall 2013. A collaborative project between students in ITGM 445 Advanced Physical Computing and ITGM 736 Physical Interactive Media.

Influence was displayed at Siggraph 2014 in Vancouver and also at the SCAD Hong Kong Moot Gallery in Winter 2014.

Influence was developed using Processing and numerous libraries.
