  2. "This machine kills fascists" is a phrase that Woody Guthrie had inscribed on his guitar case while he travelled around America, playing protest songs and spreading his message of human connection and equality with music.

This is an audio/visual piece about creativity, regeneration and innovation. It represents the escape from forces that obstruct our ability to create and that institutionalise us in our own homes.

I built each of these instruments using parts of old televisions, computers, aerials and satellite dishes. The two guitars were wired up to an old Peavey amplifier. The music you hear in the video is created entirely by the instruments you see being played. The track was recorded in an old brick shed behind my house. The painting that occurs in the piece represents the act of spontaneous creation.

  3. Anthony Norman and his family have been fishing in Rozel Bay in Jersey for 20 years. We had the chance to spend some time there on a sunny spring afternoon. After eating lunch at The Hungry Man cafe we played some music on the oldest of the Normans' fishing boats.

Josh Flowers and Squiff Wordsworth perform 'The Space Between Mountains', which they co-wrote on their visit to Jersey. Find us online at http://www.listn.to/joshflowers

  4. Jean-Louis and his wife travel around europe to markets and auctions, collecting fascinating items with which fill 'Le Grenier' (French for 'The Attic'). This little gem of a shop can be found on Bethnal Green road, just a minutes walk from the end of Brick Lane. Pay them a visit and you are sure to be welcomed with a smile. 5. Josh Flowers and James Cox play a beer-induced rendition of 'Duelling Banjos'. A spontaneous jamming-out of some creepy deep south vibes from the film Deliverance.

"Amazing vocals, contagious beats and a mischievous set full of fun and enjoyment. It’s easy to see why I left their recent gig with a childish grin and Josh’s evocative lyrics echoing on the outskirts of my thoughts. Josh Flowers & The Wild clearly love what they do, and they aren’t the only ones. Josh Flowers & The Wild had the crowd in a folk induced frenzy."
