Although God’s people in general may aptly be called “you of little faith,” how can we grow in faith when God tries our faith? Because faith is a “gift of God,” will he infuse us with faith when dealing with life’s trials as we open ourselves to the influence of his Holy Spirit? How do we turn difficult situations into a chance to “exercise mighty faith? Does God orchestrate hardships in order for us to increase our faith and “overcome all evil”?

As “God first loved us,” how does he shed forth his love in us through his grace? For us to “love God,” how must we conform to his will by keeping his law and word? Has God framed covenant relationships through which we may best express our love? How should our love take on the “trials of love”? As brotherly love too is from God, does it teach us how love begets love and that only through loving God and neighbor we can reap the “fruits of love”?
