  2. Raul Hinojosa, executive director of Rey Feo Scholarship Inc., became a business member in 2012. Since becoming a member, Hinojosa says the attentiveness and courtesy that GFCU shows him and the Rey Feo Scholarship, Inc. stands above the rest. Hinojosa shares how Generations personnel are always a phone call away, respond quickly and even went to their offices when one of their officer’s couldn’t make it to a branch due to a medical issue. Hinojosa says it’s more than “incredible interest rates” that make GFCU a great choice for the business. The credit union feels like home.

  3. As a recent graduate, Jacob Aiden Martinez says, “it was tough” with the influx of financial responsibilities that came his way. As the San Antonio College Coordinator for Student Success, Martinez learned more about Generations and what it offered. After hearing more about GFCU’s auto loans, Martinez decided to look into refinancing his vehicle loan that he had with another credit union in an effort to cut costs and free up some room in his budget. Never refinancing before, he was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was and was even more excited when the refinance saved him $120 a month on his car payment.

  4. Kathleen Doria and her family have a long tradition of being a part of the Generations family. Her mother, a former city employee, joined GFCU nearly 49 years ago, and she followed in her mother’s footsteps by becoming a member in 1979. Doria has had several products with GFCU, but she remembers fondly buying her first car with the credit union. Today, she credits Generations with helping her and her family consolidate their financial planning and shares how her son, who goes to college out of state, utilizes GFCU’s services thousands of miles away.

  5. Koby Cantu, a retired District Fire Chief with the City of San Antonio, has been a member of Generations since 1979. He was first introduced to Generations when he was a cadet in the fire academy, and employees from the credit union came to help set up accounts for the new firefighters. Koby’s family members are now also banking with Generations, and they love the convenience of locations around the city, including branches located right in their local HEBs. He shares his story of how Generations makes a difference daily in the lives of its members through member services, attention to detail and products offered.
