Here is a slightly extended version of a short documentary film I shot and edited for a 3-day documentary workshop by Philip Bloom in New York. The first day was a more traditional in-class workshop, the second day we went out into the city and shot and edited our films and on the third day we finalized our edits and screened our films for Philip, the class and special guest, Bill Weir.
Thank you very much to Philip, Jesica Bruzzi, Peter Reynolds, Bill Weir, B&H and Canon for making this event possible. It was very informative and incredibly inspiring to see what all the talented filmmakers in the class could create in such a short time.
This film was primarily shot with the Sony a7s using a 50mm f/1.8 and a 24-70mm f/4 lens. The film was edited and graded in Adobe Premiere Pro using VisionColor LUTs. Audio was primarily recorded with a Rode NTG-2 mic into the Zoom H4N external recorder.
