1. Since my last blog post last year "Get a deal you would not get on your own", Groupon has continued to grow and provide consumers with great deals from Dental cleaning to bowling, and much more. I discuss my latest deal.

  2. For those of you who tuned in and saw Pajama Cast # 4, will recall that I spoke to how I did not feel compelled to check out Con Edison on Facebook. I learned of their presence on facebook through their branding on their monthly bills. Since putting out the video, I did go check out their facebook fan page. Additionally they responded with their own video, you can watch by going to my blog - rubenquinones.com

  3. Back on March 9th the New York Times had a piece on facebook unveiling a location based feature integrated with status check ins. This reinforces the attention that this new feature is receiving and the belief that the world is ready to embrace location based services. The irony? Google bought out Dodgeball in 2005, an early location based feature. Feeling that the project was neglected, Dennis Crowley, one of the founders of Dodgdeball, leaves Google and starts Foursquare. Google then kills Dodgeball early last year, foursquare becomes a player in SXSW in 2009, and here we are!

  4. There it was, on my monthly utility bill, "We are now on facebook!". I can now join Con Edison on Facebook. Not sure how long they have been advertising it on their envelope bills that they send out monthly to their customers, but I first noticed it last month. And if you did notice it, perhaps you may have had some of the same thoughts as I did. Why check them out? Why are they are on Facebook?, its a utility company after all. Or perhaps, you simply would have told yourself, No way am I joining them on facebook!

  5. Pajamacast #2

Foursquare is proving to be more popular and growing bigger by the day. It has reached a considerable size: over half a million users, talking about over 1.5 million venues, 16 million checkins and all of this data would have changed by the time I hit publish. Only thing is, it seems like a game with badges and mayorships rewarded to those who check into locations. Is there something more to it? Watch my video and read on.
