Three films reveal insights into the glaring contrast between home-prepared foods versus foods primed by a food stylist.
Through the use of food dyes, cotton-ball stuffing, imitation ice, and an array of other clever devices, these films explore the many trickeries we are ever presented with by commercial industries in our everyday lives.
It’s real food, but not really.

Sound: Foley was handled by borrowing sounds from all over the internet, and through VideoCopilot's sound packs and sampling originals.
Details: The overall setup was extremely small. Pink cardboard on IKEA table tops with a glass sheet placed on the surface for ease of resetting shots. I love pushing the limits of sound foley - juxtaposing, say, crackling gravel like sounds on the scooping action of the soft, melting surface of ice cream. Funny how it our mind can make it work out. My goal was to make the viewer's ears salivate with foley goodness.
