    Doreen Starke-Meyerring is the Co-Director of the Centre for the Study and Teaching of Writing, within the Department of Integrative Studies in Education at McGill University. Professor Starke-Meyerring has co-authored Designing Global Learning Environments: Visionary Partnerships, Policies, and Pedagogies which brings together college educators from nine countries who have taken the lead in developing globally networked learning environments across four continents to prepare students for global work and citizenship. She will speak about these new visions of open and globally networked learning. Her book is to be published this winter.

    Bruce La Brack is a cultural anthropologist and South Asian specialist who is also a professor of anthropology in the School of International Studies (SIS) at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where he has coordinated cross-cultural training since 1976. Professor LaBrack has published extensively on cultural adjustment issues and is the creator of “What’s Up with Culture?” an online training resource.
