1. Nothing but good times on the north and south shores of Kauai. First time there and loved it! What a beautiful island and beautiful people.

Song: "First Train Home" by Imogen Heap, from the album "Ellipse".

All footage -in and out of the water- was shot using the GoPro HD, 16:9, 720p@60fps (excluding bodyboarding footage taken from the beach: 10X zoom, 30fps, SD 4:3 converted to 16:9.)

  2. Filmed December 19/09, Lake Ontario, Canada. I'm confident this is the first ever POV video of bodyboarders in one of the Great Lakes.
    Temperature:-10C/15F
Conditions: Not too shabby for a lake!
A little ice on the face never hurt no one.

Camera & settings: GoPro Surf HD @60fps, 720p.
Song: "Edge of the ocean" by Ivy

(note to self: use Rain-X on the lens next time, and adjust camera angle)

  3. I know, I know...It's not Puerto Escondido (Mexican Pipeline) however for a bodyboarder from the Great Lakes it was epic! Hence "...Pipe Dreams".
    Day 1, small and messy.
    Day 2, big and messy.
    Day 3, medium and clean.

Filmed January 2010 using the GoPro Surf HD, 720p @60 fps.

    Song: "Alive" by P.O.D.

  4. Lucked out in Oct '08 while hanging out along the Mediterranean coast in Spain.
Shot using the Canon HV20, regretably at 24fps as opposed to 30fps. Shutter and aperture were totally off. As a result (and due to weak editing software) the slow motion is especially hard to watch.

    Videography: Susan V.
    Still photography: Dave Arnold.
