1. After growing up in a family of artists, Karen Freidt found herself as an adult with no desire to create pieces of her own. It wasn’t until she took a painting class with co-worker, Wade Mickley, that her life, and art career would flourish.

Like their mixed media creations, Karen & Wade (now happily married), have built a relationship that takes pieces from various aspects of their lives, & forms them into something beautifully unexpected. Although they work on art separately, there is constant conversation, collaboration and sometimes competitiveness between the pair. It might make for a busy house, but in the end, their love of art (or maybe art of love) always prevails.

Also, an established audio engineer & producer, Paolella owns her own recording space, Tap Tap Studios, as well as working at such famed local entities like Clay Garden Studios.
