"I'm tired. I'm uncomfortable. But I know there is meaning in the mundane and purpose in the pain. This Labor of Love."
When drawing up a storyboard to share about Hana Grace, we wanted to show the real life side of pregnancy and labor. From the awkward waddle to the intense pain of contractions; these images in a birth story usually don't make the final cut, but we knew that this would add to the beauty of Hana's story and create a story that people can relate to. This birth story is particularly gauged towards an audience that has experienced child birth directly or indirectly.
Hana means flower in Japanese and while in Hana, Maui, is the first time we felt her move.
