This is a short hand animation created entirely in Blender. I've been following the sculpting tutorials by Kent Trammell on Blender Cookie one of which guided me to create this model. The model was first sculpted in a relaxed pose then re-topologised for animation. A normal map was created from the original sculpt and applied to the lower resolution model. I then added an armature and created several poses in a pose library adding timing corrections to avoid parts intersecting as they moved. There is a three light rig for illumination and the only material used a diffuse colour ramp and minimal specular levels.
