  2. This is a video presentation of the Urbandale Fire Department honoring those firefighters that lost their lives in the line of duty in 2014. The National Fallen Firefighter Foundation in Emmitsburg, Maryland every year holds a weekend ceremony honoring those same heros. This is the fourth year fire departments throughout America have also paid respect to our fallen, by holding this "Bells Across America" ceremony.

    The Urbandale Fire Department would like to extend a special thank you the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation for their presentation video of the National Fallen Firefighters weekend honoring those firefighters that lost their lives in 2013. A thank you also is extended to those families that lost their loved ones during that year for allowing us to share their video.

On this date, we honored two fallen firefighters, Saddle Brook Fire Chief Don Wilson (died in the line of duty on June 26, 1970) and Firefighter Joseph Kovolisky (died in the line of duty, November 14, 1973). Current and retired Saddle Brook firefighters and their families as well as residents were in attendance at this event.
