This video explains how to use PrimerPro computer program to assist the literacy worker to create a primer lesson. tThis video assume you’ve already installed PrimerPro on your computer, and have figured out the sequence in which you’ll teach the graphemes (simple letters and clusters) for your language. This video assumes that you’ve already introduced at least 5 vowels (as well as tone marks, if applicable).
This is a video to show you how to set up a PrimerPro project. PrimerPro is designed to help literacy workers create linguistically based primers. It capitalizes on the grammatical and phonological properties of the language in focus, to produce a primer which is intuitively easy for the MT speaker, while it also makes the job easier for you. The better the linguistic information you give it, the better it will perform and the happier you and your storywriters will be!
