1. Any study of The Ten Words is not complete without ending on a study of The New Commandment that Jesus gave us right before He died and rose again. This new commandment is based on love, not duty and is fleshed out in the rest of The New Testament as the reality is worked out by the New Testament writers--a fitting finish to a study of God's love for mankind. This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, November 1, 2015.

  2. Now that we have studied the Ten Commandments for the last couple months, what can we take away from this study? How should understanding God's standard of righteousness affect our daily life in the New Testament age? Several places in the New Testament remind us that we are not under The Law but under grace--that we are freed from having to observe The Law. How should we then live? This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, October 18, 2015.

  3. "No coveting..." Instead of rejoicing in the way God has blessed our neighbor, we want what they have. Instead of being content with what we have, we want "just a little more". The Bible is filled with references in both Old and New Testaments concerning coveting. This commandment strikes at the heart of our sin nature. This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, October 11, 2015.

  4. When we look at commandments eight and nine, we ask the question: why these and why here? After all, murder and adultery are far worse crimes--aren't they? Does God really want truth-telling and respecting other people's property to be part of the daily life of Israel? Here we begin to see the difference between God's standard of righteousness is superior to man's existential philosophy. This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, October 4, 2015.

  5. Today we come to commandments five and six. Each seemingly different and very much misunderstood. Both are related to death. The one is a death to an image bearer--one made in the image of God--and the other the death of a binding covenant--like those that God makes and never breaks with his people. Either way, God takes very seriously the willful taking of life and the willful breaking of an agreement. This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, September 27, 2015.
