Hand-drawn/painted animated video created by Raymond Prado for Singer-Songwriter Matthew Bryan. Made in Vermont with ties to Austin and Los Angeles. Lots of hand-drawn frames. Like 6000. Check out matthewbryanmusic.com/ and raymondprado.com/ for things!
An experimental rotoscope animation I did for my Film & Video Art class. I wanted to show the 3 "steps" involved in making a rotoscoped animation, so you will see the raw video, the video with the trace lines over it, and the final product.
Ever since I found out about rotoscoping, I've wanted to try it myself, so I was happy to finally be able to do so.
595 hand traced frames and over 21 hours of work to make a 24 second animation. Time well spent.
Special thanks to Isiah Otten for showing me the basics of Adobe Flash.
(The sound in the last "step" is somewhat distorted - I may re-upload later)
This is a small portion of the rotoscoping I did for my major work while studying at the Collage of Fine Arts Paddington. In total there was about 2 minutes of this style of animation, which took my friend, Conrad Ramakers, and I 3 weeks of 2 hours a day to complete.
