1. This film explores the origins and beliefs of the Mexican day of the dead celebrations. Mexihka curanderos/as (healers) perform ceremonies and rituals, weaving in the natural world to their practice by inviting in archetypal energies, plants, songs, touch, smoke, objects, words and images.
    This documentary questions what impact beliefs surrounding death have on the way in which an individual chooses to live. It captures and portrays the visually the rich and diverse cultural tapestry that Mexicans have woven around death as a rites of passage and offers a soulful insight into the Mexican curanderismo tradition.
