After working in England for a while Serena returned to her home island Crete where she started to grow herbs. Serena was lucky as she could use a small piece of land owned by her family which was up to that point not used. The herbs Serena cultivates in the field originate from the Cretan Mountains. From there she collects small branches and propagates the cuttings. This method of growing herbs ensures that the natural biodiversity of the island is not harmed and that the quality of the original plant as well as the medicinal properties and aromas are kept.
