  2. We expose the shocking living conditions of the Narikurava Tribe of Pondicherry, India who have been housed next to the city dump. The dump is crushing their homes and leaking a toxic stream across the pavement.
Traditionally hunters, 54 families of the tribe were housed next to the Pondicherry city refuse tip eight years ago. With their gun licences being rescinded, they survive by salvaging and recycling metals and plastics from the tip.
Some make bead necklaces and bracelets in the tribal style, others sell balloons, hair clips and safety pins on Pondicherry beach.
Since the monsoon rains of 2009 the dump walls have crumbled falling onto their houses. Many of their homes have collapsed.
What can be done to change their living conditions?
