Atlanta Bicycle Coalition's mission is to create a healthier, more livable Atlanta by making it safer, easier, and more attractive to bicycle for fun, fitness, and transportation.
Founded in 1991, their membership-based nonprofit advocates for a safe and connected network of bikeways and better conditions for bicycling, educates bicyclists and drivers on safety, provides resources to overcome barriers to biking, promotes the bicycle as a viable transportation solution and form of recreation and exercise, and organizes community-building events like Atlanta Streets Alive.
Bicycling helps everyone, not just those who ride bicycles, by creating a higher overall quality of life through improved public health, cleaner air, less congestion, and stronger communities.
