1. About FluxDelux
In 2014 Peggy devised Flux, in which a simple set of guidelines followed by dancers, non-dancers, and wheelchair users instantly creates a spontaneous, ever-evolving, and gloriously eventful group choreography.

FluxDelux is literally the deluxe version of Flux, and marries contemporary dance with cutting-edge new media technology through a tailor-made iOS app, designed by creative technologist Jacob Niedzwiecki. Movement instructions are delivered to pedestrians and wheelchair users via the app, through earphones. Tangled Art + Disability and students from Rosedale Heights School of the Arts have partnered with us throughout the creation of FluxDelux.

Using the custom iPhone app OR our audio file OR Peggy’s simple set of instructions, audience members can join in the creation and performance of an instant mass choreography. For FluxDelux the all-abilities audience are the performers, negotiating space with creative physicality and generosity.

FluxDelux video footage was taken in Ottawa with propellerdance, Ottawa Dance Directive, The School of Dance, Tanged Art + Disability, and the Read Initiative.

  2. Patsy, a dance art video, is a choreographic metaphor of a troubled woman in her forty’s drowning her demons in red wine. But today, in a moment of lucidity, alcohol loses its appeal. In a last attempt, she searches to find an answer, a solution, an absolution.
Patsy is a loner, crushed between reality and fantasy. With flashes of memory, both comforting and painful, she realizes that she has lost her footing. Currents of red wine running deep within her soul provide only temporary peace and tranquility.
All she needs is one minute, just one minute, to think or to forget, to confront or to run, to live or to die.

  5. Produced, directed, edited by Izabel Barsive and choreographed by Anik Bouvrette (Tara Luz Danse), Lustrale is a dance art film (26.30 min.) that chronicles a journey shared by two women as they approach the hereafter, guided by the poetry and sensuality of water and light.
Eight scenes unfold against a backdrop of aquatic, natural, and surreal universes, tracing the passage of these two souls on a voyage through life and death, as they prepare for what lies ahead. Each woman travels her own way: one, with serenity and confidence, and the other, in a state of fragility and torment.
As one woman seeks to support the other through her journey, hope, doubt and compassion converge along a sinuous path marked by wonderings on the cycle that brings us inevitably back to our beginnings.
Lustrale, art video of contemporary dance, was produced entirely in Ottawa, Canada.

LUSTRALE, also can be presented in a 9 min. short version.

    ---------------------------------------------------------
