1. Robert Nash once wrote a book entitled "An 8-Track Church in a CD World." Although the imagery has evolved, the concept is still relevant--the contemporary church is becoming less and less relevant due to its inability to recognize and redeem its ruined ways. In this new series, we look at the story of Nehemiah and how, through God's power, he was able to rebuild the city of Jerusalem. Through this study, we seek to uncover practical applications for leadership and mission. In doing so, we hope to rebuild the church in our community so that Gods mission can be achieved!

  2. One of the main reasons why congregations fail to reach spiritual renewal is they fail in planning for it. They pray, but without purpose or direction. In this message, we look at the direction that Nehemiah prayed for so that he knew how to ask and what to ask for in order to understand our "vision puzzle" for renewal.

  3. We return to Nehemiah this week as we ride along with him as he inspects the fallen walls of Jerusalem. We also look at his approach to casting a vision that the people of Jerusalem can catch. In doing so, we reveal some ways that we hope to rebuild a part of our "wall" as we continue to seek God's direction for our congregation.

  4. How do we deal with criticism and negativity when trying to fulfill God's plan? In this message, we look at exactly that issue as Nehemiah answers the challenges of his opposition when he begins to rebuild Jerusalem's wall. Then, we draw some concepts about how to "get on the wall" of rebuilding our congregation.

  5. In this message, we conclude our Nehemiah series by surveying the remaining parts of Nehemiah's story, including the completion of the wall and the temple and the people's response to this. Then, we confront the challenge that lays before our congregation -- change or die. It is not about saving the past but about drawing from the past in order to build the future.
