This is a recent attempt using a Pentax K30, 10 Sec K30 Interval shooting, 28mm Bell & Howell prime, F2.8, 600 shots.
Most of my work is from a south facing window, in the Yorkshire area of the UK but has produced some promising results for a starter in time-lapse.
Unexpectedly crowded sky around 2 second into the video. I can Identify the aircraft light trails and possible satellite's track but looking at the stills over the full 2.5 hours they were taken, there seems there are some streaks at strange angles to a flight path and seen over 2 or 3 exposures.
Exposure was 15 sec with a 30sec set on the timer. Therefore a shot every 15 sec's.
It was a clear bright clear night, good enough even with the light pollution, to take a time-lapse of the Northern Stars. Although not seen with the naked eye the camera revealed a surprise by visit of the Aurora, in Yorkshire, half way down the UK, which is unusual.
Main Time lapse take with Pentax K-01, with a 28mm Bell & Howell prime @ F4. Additional sequence, all on the same night, taken with a Pentax K-30, Tamron 18-250, 3.5 lens.
Still fighting with rendering viewing quality for the web, but getting there.
