This television commercial (TVC) was produced for Zoos Victoria after advertising agency Grant Day James asked Jumbla to expand the idea of an animated book. The final piece joins together 2D and 3D animation with live-action.
One of this TVC’s hallmarks is that it creates three-dimensional interactive animals out of two-dimensional origami cut-outs. It depicts a child-friendly environment that encourages imagination and intrigue, much like the zoo itself.

As we like to create always new things, we experiment a lot on this one. We tracked 3d pop up book, we recompose element in the scenes, and we composite all these things as close to reality as possible.
Sometimes we shot 2 or 3 times the same scene with and without elements. Just to analyze the lightning reaction for each individual object that we will create in 3D. For the first time we used a chrome sphere to create HDRI and get the proper lights in 3D. All these was to render 3d stuff as close to reality.
Lotta fun put it all toghether anyway :)
