The sami people

Vivant au dessus du cercle polaire, les Saamis sont les premiers touchés par les grands bouleversements climatiques qui impactent directement leur quotidien. Le photographe Cyril Abad, gagnant du concours Fujifilm "Talent Nomade" est partit avec Éric Bouvet, grand photoreporter, à la rencontre de ce peuple autochtone. Lors de cette expédition, dans le grand froid, les deux reporters vivent au cœur de la communauté Saami à Kiruna, ville minière du grand nord mais aussi dans les montagnes à la poursuite des rennes.

Currently about 10% of the Sami are connected to reindeer herding, providing them with meat, fur, and transportation. 2,800 Sami people are actively involved in herding on a full-time basis.
