A multi-channel video piece dealing with various aspects and perspectives of "relative realities" obtained from my 39 day winter crossing of the Atlantic Ocean on a sailboat.
The project was primarily meant as a physical and philosophical exploration of the old argument of purpose via the journey, versus the goal, or what boils down to eastern versus western thought.
Although all are from the experience, each channel is focused on a particular element.
VERTICAL CHANNEL: Represents the romanticized reality comprising of projected emotions such as pride and fear.
LARGE HORIZONTAL CHANNEL: Represents the actual reality and elements of the voyage as experienced.
MULTI-CHANNEL HORIZONTALS: Represents the objective reality, where a single boat is simply crossing an ocean.
