1. „Flexice“ is a new type of operating concept. Today’s touchscreens can only give artificial haptic feedback caused by their rigid surface. My idea was to replace the surface with an elastic fiber and add depth as another dimension. The tension of the fabric provides the user with natural haptic feedback, guidance and an improved user experience. „Flexice“ receives benefits of the analog world and extends them by a digital system.
    It can be used in variety of applications such as medical technology or the 3D modeling and opens a lot of possibilities as user and designer.

    New American design brand Quell & Company has launched its first product, the Spool Dock, a docking station made from white oak, Merino wool felt and a metal base, referencing Scandinavian home design.

    Made in the USA, the swivelling Spool Dock works as both a charging dock and cable manager and is compatible with the iPhone (5c and later editions), as well as the iPad mini and 5th generation iPod touch.
