This is the documentation of the UCF Film: Video Art and Non-Narrative Exhibition which took place from May 4th-7th 2017 in the UCF Art Gallery. This show was curated and organized by Yson Dickerson, with work from her Spring 2017 section of the FIL4436 Film Theory/Film Production course.
The film is a performance with two projectors one film is shot with a homemade through transparencies with a modified syringe and flashlight, the other is a reflection on the organic response of the film to light. Rather than using film for its ability to replicate humanity's visual reality, this film begins to interpret the unadulterated relationship between light and celluloid.
Light variation and raw, naked film stock. Light Injections is an intimate meeting of these two lovers.
