While I'm waiting for my Zenmuse H3-2D I'm doing some tests with the DJI Phantom and the Sony RX100. No stabilization done in post, this is straight from the camera. The RX100 is mounted on a anti-vibration damper plate. Maybe the camera is a little bit to heavy for the Phantom, but I can fly around 9 minutes with one battery. It's a little bit shakey here and there, but I think it looks pretty good, with some stabilization in post, it can be nice.
Blog post review with more updates to come here: philipbloom.net/blog/rxroadtests/ ..bit delayed in my updates apologies, but I am going to wait until after I get back from Iceland so I can do some more varied shooting with it.
Much better 100p tests to come but damn this looks impressive. No crop of the sensor, no obvious image issues. 100mbps
Conformed to 25p in Premiere under "interpret footage as... 25p in the menu" creating the instant beautfiful slow motion. This is continuous recording not the 2 second buffer of the higher 250fps, 500fps and 1000fps frame rates. In NTSC mode this is 120p
Picture profile was accidentally off so forgive the dynamic range, normally much better. Rescue the image in the grade with Filmconvert
