1. This is a lighting workshop I did with the students up at Champlain College in Burlington, VT. I had a blast going up there and working with the school to try to teach some techniques for working on a stage and creating the same scene for both Day and Night. We built this lighting setup so that we could easily switch from a full Day Scene straight to a Night scene with a 5min turn over. Worked pretty well. My goal was to show the students how efficient working on a stage can be if you have the resources to build a believable set. I bought all of the production design elements from a local used furniture shop for about $50 and then a few additional supplies at Home Depot for $40. Everything could have been returned after as well though I donated it to the school for future projects.

    We shot 35mm and Arri Alexa Mini as an example to compare the two systems. Here are some specs:
