Eighth-graders at Bronxville Middle School have been working together to create their own fully functional video game controllers made out of ordinary objects, such as fruit, Play-Doh or tinfoil. The innovative project, which spans several weeks, allows students to be creative and challenges them to invent new devices.
The Bronxville Promise is the district’s guiding vision to develop the dispositions that teachers and administrators believe to be integral to their students’ success – their ability to innovate, lead, think critically and engage the world.
On their first day of school on Sept. 6, Bronxville School students were joyful as they entered the building full of energy and excitement and equipped with supplies for the new school year. They were eager to see their friends, seek out their lockers, compare schedules and meet new teachers who greeted them with smiles.
