Gus Mancini's Sonic Soul band is an improvisational ensemble consisting of world-class musicians coming together from very diverse backgrounds. This band offers a variety of music including jazz, rock, funk, and trance flavors.
• Gus Mancini, is a combination of a classically trained musician, composing scores and classical works, a master Saxophonist and improvisational performer. A graduate of NYU with a B.S. in music composition and education, he has studied and performed with principal soloists from the New York Philharmonic as well as the Jazz elite. Mancini has been a radio personality on WDST-FM in Woodstock N.Y. for the past 13 years playing live on air over 250 times.
• Peter Head is a poet, painter, musician and one of the founders of 'Pitchfork Militia' a staple of the Hudson Valley for over 20 years with an ever growing and loving fan base. Peter is a master rockabilly musician, who always delivers a passionate, inventive, and compelling performance.
• Ruperto Ifil grew up with Caribbean and Latin music as his life’s soundtrack. He began his professional career as a drummer in Brooklyn, NY collaborating with Avant-garde artist Arthur Rhames, and has shared the stage and/or supported such notable and varied artists as Jaco Pastorius, Mandrill, Dizzy Gillespie, Ashford and Simpson, and Maria Muldaur, among many others. Ruperto keeps the heartbeat pumping on any collaboration.
