THE BETRAYAL OF AMERICA was produced to promote a Television Special docu-trial of the Supreme Court, based on their decision of the Bush/Gore election. During the course of American history, wrongful events have occurred and certain Americans have stood up and spoken out against these wrongs. Vincent Bugliosi is one of them. Prosecutor of Charles Manson, with anger, passion and courage, Vincent Bugliosi’s is not afraid to take aim at the Supreme Court.

GEORGE NIERENBERG (Producer/ Director) is an acclaimed filmmaker whose career has spanned the worlds of network, cable and international television, and independent non-fiction features. He’s received an Emmy nomination for directing That Rhythm...Those Blues for the PBS series The American Experience and an Emmy for No Maps on My Taps.

His television experience is extensive. He has produced, directed and developed projects for CBS, NBC, ABC, AMC, Bravo, PBS, Nickelodeon, Cinemax, Sony BMG, Reader’s Digest and National Geographic's Explorer.
Nierenberg was enlisted as a producer to launch Saturday Night with Connie Chung on CBS and Day One on ABC. He also served as a consultant, overseeing the non-fiction programming at Lifetime Television and as a consultant to the Associated Press, helping to oversee the video production done by their still photographers.

For VH1’s Hard Rock Live, he directed portraits of popular musical artists. For American Movie Classics he created Gotta Dance!, a two-part pilot series on ballroom dancing. He created a series pilot for TNN, Adventure Chef, an hour TV special for Walt Disney and Bravo, Head of the Class: The Lion King, and the one-hour season opener for the series Paramedics on TLC and At The Chef’s Table for PBS. Nierenberg’s music interests led him to work with Sony BMG, completing two DualDisc projects: Bill Withers’ Just As I Am and Neil Diamond’s The Jazz Singer.
