  4. Northern Print organised a round-the-world printmaking project as part of Juice Festival in 2012. Juice Festival is NewcastleGateshead's festival for children & young people. Students from Charles Thorp Comprehensive School in Gateshead came to Northern Print and spent a whole day creating drypoint prints inspired by the movement of the Planet Earth. Pracownia Grafiki Artystycznej studio in Poland took part and invited a group of children to come and make their prints and Chhaphai print studio in Bangladesh invited children to try their hand at printmaking - taking the project right across the globe.

This film shows images of the children and young people making their prints in each studio.

Northern Print will have an exhibition of the prints by students at Charles Thorp School from Tues 30 Oct - Sat 3 Nov 2012 and will also show this film as part of the exhibition.

This project is presented as part of Juice – NewcastleGateshead’s award-winning festival for children and young people. Juice is developed and produced by NewcastleGateshead Initiative as part of its festival and events programme and funded by Newcastle City Council, Gateshead Council, Arts Council England North East and Sir James Knott Trust.
