Who doesn’t love Christmas Presents? Giving them, receiving them, wrapping them, opening them, it’s all great. But like all created things, their value fades over time. The most exciting gift ever has a chance of ending up in a garage sale box a few years later. But unlike Christmas Presents, God’s Presence is forever. Long after the tree is in the attic, or the dump, when the lights come down, and the stuffed Frosty the Snowman goes back in his box, the presence of God remains. That is the miracle of Christmas! Christ’s incarnation. The mere fact that God would put on flesh and become like us, and that He invites us into His presence makes this the most wonderful time of the year!
