Welcome to Resurrection Life of Jesus Church. We are a Bible centered group of believers who desire to grow in the full knowledge of Jesus Christ without compromise to His Word. We believe, teach and practice all things that Jesus taught and were practiced by the Church in the book of the Acts of the Apostles. Jesus called his disciples to be salt and light. Salt is a preservative but it is also something that adds savor and enjoyment to our daily food. Light is a symbol of truth; it is comforting, penetrating, guiding and exposes darkness. We seek to preserve biblical truth and shed the glorious light of the Gospel in a world that is consumed by darkness.

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
Trust is an important aspect especially in romantic relationships and business dealings. Marriages fail and business dealings go sour when someone betrays you, but that hasn't ever been the case with God because He has an impeccable record of faithfulness. He is your Creator and also wants to be your Savior. He is the one who calls you into ministry and sends you out as well. He sustains your every need and defends you should the need arise. In short, God is your source and desires that you implicitly trust Him.

Your faith is like a rubber band and God is going to stretch you; trusting in the Lord means allowing Him to work out an impossible situation, while the Devil tries to use circumstances and feelings as weapons in an effort to derail you. Your trust in God needs to be tangible. This is when you find out what you're made of spiritually.

Angus Buchan is a farmer in South Africa that found out what it meant to have real faith when he planted potatoes in the midst of a drought. Despite the lack of irrigation, he believed God for the impossible, and was rewarded with a crop of giant potatoes at harvest time. He held a potato in each hand and stated, "Your faith needs to be just as real as these potatoes." His faith is a testament that God can be trusted.

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, more commonly known as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, ran afoul of King Nebuchadnezzar and his call for them to worship a golden statue. They knew about God's prohibition on idolatry but the king's threat to worship or die was real as well. These godly men were resolved to defy the king's mandate, even if it cost them their lives.

The New Testament says that Jesus became a ransom for humanity when He died on the cross for our sins. This ransom concept with the temple tax was birthed under the Mosaic Law and was a precursor of things to come. As the son of God, Jesus was exempt from paying this tribute, but He relinquished the privilege and instructed Peter how to make payment for them both. Unbelievably, it involved catching a fish and using the money found in its mouth.

Obviously, Jesus could have supernaturally materialized the money but the coin in the fish's mouth was the reward of Peter's obedience and was just enough to pay the tax. Jesus proved that no situation is too great for Him and Peter learned that God will reward the effort we put toward our walk with Him.

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
This week we examined how our spiritual effort can and will affect the men and women around us. Peter was operating under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and a lame man was healed. Ananias and Sapphira wanted to be popular like Barnabas and concocted a lie and the Holy Spirit ended their lives prematurely. Paul was grieved when a demon possessed girl began promoting the Kingdom of God. The seven sons of Sceva recognized there was power associated with the name of Jesus but the situation quickly got out of control when they misappropriated His name.

Most Christians are inwardly focused on health, relational and/or financial issues, trying to keep some semblance of normalcy, while they stem the tide and try to keep their life from falling apart more than it is. We have been transferred from the Kingdom of Satan to the Kingdom of God. However, you must first take care of your inward needs so you can be useful to God and outwardly focused. God’s pattern is to make you strong so you can be useful in the Kingdom of God. Jesus rescued you so you can in turn become a rescuer.

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
We have an enemy in Satan and he isn't just content to kill Christians, he wants to wipe out humanity and fill hell with the hated creatures that are made in the image of God. The Devil has been defeated but that doesn't mean he is down and out. The Bible describes him as a roaring lion who is running loose and seeking someone to devour. It is therefore vital to be serious because our spiritual effort can and will affect the fate of men and women around us.

Life isn't a game and yet that is exactly how most people treat their existence. The only problem is that we don't get to undo our actions. Meanwhile, the Devil and his minions have managed to intimidate the majority of Christians through fear, but the Bible says that the perfect love casts out fear. God has not given us the spirit of torment; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

In other words, God doesn't want us to be afraid. The only limits God has are the ones we impose on Him. If you are what you eat, then you also are what you focus on. As a man thinks, so he becomes. Moving from theory to reality is challenging but God will reward your faith and the effort you put toward your walk with Him.

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
All soldiers go through basic training which challenges their physical fitness, provides weapon proficiency and gives them a theoretical knowledge of warfare. They must put their training to use and pull together as a team in order to secure the victory against an opponent that is actively resisting them. Christians have an enemy in Satan and he isn't content to just kill us, he wants to wipe out humanity because we are made in the image of God.

Moses went from being an exalted prince of Egypt to a lowly shepherd. God activated him at the burning bush and he was able to put into practice the many things that he had learned in his first eighty years on earth. Joshua was an understudy of Moses but eventually he had to stand on his own and know whether God was truly with him. The prophet Samuel was younger than most when he moved from theory to reality. The apostle Paul had a life changing experience where everything he knew to be true was turned upside down and a hated Christian showed up to deliver healing and confirm the message that he had already heard from God.

The Bible says that whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. This means that God will reward the effort that we put toward our walk with Him.
