Louis Poulsen just unveiled a new floor lamp. Building on a legacy of shape and light, they’ve introduced a limited edition of the PH lamp with copper accents.
Our goal was to invoke a sense of harmony, elegance and wonder.
Set in a vast, dark and carefully lit industrial space, the narrative borrows from an early quote likening their lamps to doves in flight as lighting, editing, and the juxtaposition of imagery reveal form, colors, carefully leading up to the new limited copper edition lamp.
Shot in Los Angeles, directed by Anders Schroder, the first title sequence we created for Al Jazeera was for their flagship program "America Tonight".
Their mission is to tell urgent, important and underreported stories with the quality, depth and time they deserve. Hosted by veteran journalist Joie Chen, America Tonight draws upon the reporting of its six award-winning correspondents, the global newsgathering resources of Al Jazeera Media Network’s 12 U.S. bureaus and more than 70 bureaus around the world, and the work of the Al Jazeera America investigative team.
We were approached by Man vs Machine, who were working on the rebrand for TV3 Denmark, to collaborate in the creation of six idents for the huge relaunch.
They wanted to have a magazine-like quality to the pictures of beautiful Danish homes getting flooded by TV3 logo balls.
Since the idents of course had to be live action spots but needed to have this interior mag-like quality, we needed to do things a bit different this time. Realizing that we would never be able to achieve this look with lamps and live action cameras we deviced a plan that would consist of a world class interior photographer, a team of German LIDAR (3D scanning) guys and interior stylists. By projection mapping the beautiful photoshopped stills onto the 3D scans, we could move around inside the stills as if we had a live action camera.
The balls were then simulated, rendered and composited into the shots afterwards using a mix of Maya, Cinema 4D, Vray and Nuke.
For Nascar's annual All-Star Race, Frame created this gas guzzling promo and package. Lots of 3D tracking combined with hand drawn frame by frame doodles was used to achieve a style that is half garage, half hi-tech.
