The purpose of this typology is to capture the unique features of a designed built environment for the purpose of research (precedent study), inspiration, and communication to be used in conjunction with a current design process.
HOW DO BUILDINGS WORK? Can Architectural Motion Pictures provide a means for informing viewers before they even experience the space. Perhaps there would even be a sense of DejaVu created from seeing the film and then consequently exploring the space.
This typology provides creative mecca to interpret an experience or memory of Architectural experience. In this case the sequence will only take place in the atrium space, possibly also showcasing the AudioMax (auditorium). during the week of February 4th different techniques will be tested to determine the style of this Architectural Motion Picture.
Typically documentation of design process usually happens before or during construction. In this case it's interesting that the design had the forethought about future expansion in the building. Capturing this will be attempted on a cell phone and primarily done with an interview of the director of the library and the architect.
