Grief is your own personal journey. We provide a serene stop along the way. A place where those coping with the death or medically complex condition of a child can find hope and strength for the future. Not to forget; but to reflect. We warmly invite you to take a leap of faith.
Secondhand Hounds is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue. Founded in July of 2009, our many volunteers have made a positive impact on the lives of many dogs and cats in our community. Our organization provides safe shelter, proper veterinary care and daily necessities for animals at risk, while working hard to find each a permanent, loving home! Please explore our website or contact us to learn more information about Secondhand Hounds.
SHH only takes out of state dogs after similar local dogs are safe! Many dogs in states like Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee can spend months in a shelter only to “run out of time.”
Remember that we can’t help any dog without a foster, so please step up to foster the local dogs we post if you can!! We always help local first, and if we have fosters available, then we expand our boundaries. Thanks for your support!
