35mm Adapters

  1. An abstract film about a girl's loss of her father. Not meant to be linear in any way. It's more like a poem or dipping in and out of a moment in someone's thoughts.

  2. Letus Ultimate and XHA1 combo. This is my philosophy about place in my life.

  3. Based on a true story.

Mainly shot with Canon XHA1/Letus Ultimate adapter.

Some shots without adapter, some shots with Canon XLH1.

    Narrator is me.

  4. Moving shots done with an 8' Kessler Crane. Continuing in the tradition of the previous few films. It's the idea of penetrating the walls we build up around ourselves.

    Canon XHA1/Letus Ultimate combo.

  5. No nature footage this time. This short explores the idea of knowing our own future.

Stars my daughter Tara, her best friend and her brother Zac. Tara also did the narration.

The usual Canon XHA1 with Letus Ultimate rig. Most of this was shot with a Nikon 55mm f2.8 macro lens with some others shot with a Nikon 50mm f1.8

Lighting was done with regular worklight fluorescents (3 doubles strung together, 55k) and one of those cheap dome light holders and a screw in fluorescent bulb. I wouldn’t recommend this for anything professional because I experienced some phasing but it was okay for something at this level.

Dolly shots were done with a typical "T" dolly and PVC pipe for the track. I got this setup years ago from Promax and it still works great.

Some of these shots were inspired by Solaris (Soderbergh’s version), which I regard as one of the most beautifully shot films ever.
