One year ago a real estate agent asked me to come up with an idea for a summer house of simple form to built on a newly bought plot. What I proposed was a modernistic residence based on a strict three dimensional cubic grid, since the client who was also the constructor, wanted to avoid curved walls, funny angles etc. After delivering the still renderings I decided to animate the project and try some ideas, such as a transition from a fake physical model to a photorealistic shot while using video tracking on physical video footage from a hand free camera. I hope you like the result. There is more to come, the video is still in progress.
Software used: Autocad, Impression, 3ds max, After Effects, Premier, Syntheyes, Photoshop.
The scene is lit by and HDR image that I shot on site and a vray sun. The time lapse sky video was shot in Stockholm in a perfect semi cloudy day.
track: Time - from Inception soundtrack by Hanns Zimmer.
This animation was created to present the Microwave Anticollision System, a product developed by Gigasense, the purpose of which is to prevent cranes from colliding. Goal of the the video is to serve mainly as a visual support material while presenting the product orally.
In order to develop the formula’s shell, the mechanical engineering students worked closely with the department of architecture and students of the School of Fine Arts.
I participated in the design process having as assignment to create a measurable 3d model to be used for building and visualizing the car.
Firstly clay models were created in order to explore different morphologies, then the chosen one was digitized with a 3d scanner in order to continue the shapping of the shell in 3d cad software.
The car ranked 1st in the acceleration race and 8th in general position in the international competition "Formula Student" that took place in Silverstone.
