This song is recorded in AMA's latest album "The Inferno"
It was exhibited as part of AMA's sound & mixed media art installation, The Labyrinth, in 'The Imperfect Circle', Osage Gallery, Hong Kong.
The song is rearranged and adapted from "The Star", which is originally a poem written by Jane Taylor in the early 19th century. The first stanza of the poem became widely known as the English Lullaby "Twinkle, twinkle, little star".

This was one of those moments that I'll never forget.
The best live radio show/recording I've ever done so far. It was in 2010. I was sitting in front of a grand piano, lights out, playing and singing my heart out to people out there~
It was one of my favourite tunes too....~
Automatic Banana invites the audience to see Painting through the artists' lived experiences.Works on display will not be confined to the medium of painting. There will also be video interviews and personal objects to reflect the artists' relationship with their works and practice.
Painting On and On is a project initiated and organized by a group of artists. This mode of operation goes back to the 1970s and 80s when it was popular for artists to be their own curators. While art events today are often planned and organized by promoters of art and curators, artists themselves, to a certain extent, appear to be playing a more passive role in the process. We are not complaining nevertheless, neither are we willing to submit ourselves to self-marginalizing voluntarily. It is with this objective in mind that we have started this project, hoping that through this initiative we can generate discussions amongst ourselves and develop themes and topics close to our hearts.
In Spring 2011, we gathered together to formulate painting ideas and themes that could shed some light on the local contemporary art scene. We have come up with five themes, each to be the charge of an artist who will be its convener and coordinator. The convener will then invite other artists, from different generations and age groups, to participate in the exhibition centered on that particular theme. A series of thematic exhibitions will then be presented, namely, “Repository of Coherent Babbles (Wilson SHIEH), Automatic Banana, (LAM Tung Pang), Taciturn (AU Hoi Lam), Intertextuality (CHOW Chun Fai) and The Melting Pot (Clement CHAN).
We have been preparing for this project for over a year, during which studio visits, discussions and exchanges amongst 30 plus artists took place. Whilst the series showcases their creative interaction, it also presents five facets and trends within contemporary painting. It has to be stressed, however, that Painting On and On neither purports to be a historical investigation nor does it pretend to be a cross-section of the Hong Kong art movements. What we have achieved at this stage, has necessarily omitted many of the interesting features within the City’s painting scene. Our future efforts will definitely be directed towards the promotion as well as the systematic archiving and categorizing of local art.
萱寧 AMA, The Perfect Blue; from her latest album "A TASTE OF LIFE".
The music video is filmed by an artist in the famous Chelsea Hotel, in New York City in the year 2010. The reason why I chose to film it there is because of its rich artistic culture, the haunted myths, the artists and music heroes that have lived and created there, and the mesmerizing art shown in every corners of the hotel.
Besides that, it was an artistic way to express how complicated and difficult a relationship could be; from the moment I enter the hotel, running & looking, searching for an answer in frantic, and at last has the courage to leave without letting the emotions drag me behind.
