Here's a very early game prototype for 'Grumpy Pigs' with some simple gameplay elements and placeholder graphics. All written in Codea/Lua on the iPad.

Simple premise: Protect 'your villagers' from the evil flying pigs that are shot out of cannons either side of the screen, as well as even more evil 'porcine' style adversaries (pigs in flying saucers, pigs in balloons, pigs with other evil get the idea!)

General gameplay is to pick up random power-ups and use them sparingly (e.g. an anti-pig dome, an anti-pig smart bomb etc..) as well as collecting the falling boxes which will give the player additional touches/shots.

The level/wave ends when the sun/moon goes down which is usually 30 seconds of game-play.

I'll post a much better more refined update to this when I have time.
